Yep, looks accurate. [via The Frisky]
I’m moving to Brooklyn this weekend, so for the first time since we graduated college, Cody and I are going to be living in the same place! Shoot me a line if you want to hang out. Seriously, I want to make new New York friends! Boston people can vouch, I’ll shoot the shit with pretty much anybody who wants to.
On a saturday afternoon in 1968, Robert Kennedy’s body, like President Lincoln’s 103 years before, was carried by a funeral train from New York to Washington.
Photographer Paul Fusco was aboard the train shooting photographs. Thousands upon thousands of mourners from all walks of life lined the tracks to pay their respects.
I saw that my life was a vast glowing empty page and I could do anything I wanted, Jack Kerouac said that.
One thing I don’t want, is for it to stay that way, as an empty page. My fear of failure, not even failure, just not meeting my own high exceptions has, on occasion kept me from filling that page.
Avoiding failure is a sorry excuse for a goal, here it’s easy, just don’t try anything. I’d like to take more risks, attempt to do something, in spite of being bad at it. I will create more opportunities to achieve my goals. I will practice the things I am not good at. I will fail, I will accept it, I will improve.
“Not everything has to be a masterpiece,” I keep telling myself.
I went for a short, cold ride today down to my favorite industrial area, it’s like a motorcycle playground there.
