I’ve been working on this over the last week and finally got it done tonight!

Process:
Cinema 4D - I made this mostly relying on the Mograph plugin.
I used 3 different sound effectors placed on 3 different Cloner objects.
After probably, 65 hours of rendering (on a q6600 desktop and a Duo Core laptop) the I was ready to assemble the rendered frames.

After Effects - Once the frames were assembled and basic editing was done (in Premiere), I did some color balancing and the awesome looking motion blur in AE. The motion blur was not rendered in c4d, since it would have taken ages, I instead used a AE plugin called REVisionFX ReelSmart Motion Blur. I also added a little film grain. I then upresed it a bit (shhh) and exported 1080p h.246.
